Diagnosis of the condition of gums and bone

A periodontist conducts an examination, PSR test, makes a periodontal chart, does X-ray diagnostics to assess the level of bone around the teeth. If necessary, a swab is taken from periodontal pockets to determine the microflora and its sensitivity to antibiotics in order to select the most effective treatment.

Professional hygiene

Professional hygiene is carried out with the help of the Swiss EMS Master device, which delicately removes plaque, tartar, and bacteria above and under the gums. This is a mandatory stage before gum treatment, because bacteria themselves are the cause of inflammation.

Closed curettage

With special manual curettes, cleaning of tooth roots from bacteria, inflamed tissues, and subgingival calculus is carried out. The procedure allows reducing the depth of periodontal pockets and stopping inflammation.

Open curettage / if necessary

If periodontal pockets are deep, a surgical stage is carried out — open curettage, which allows thoroughly cleaning tooth roots and bone defects. During the procedure, preparations for tissue restoration, hyaluronic acid, and PRF / blood plasma may be used, which accelerates healing and restoration of tissues.

Laser disinfection

After mechanical cleaning of tooth roots, treatment of periodontal pockets with a laser is carried out, which allows destroying bacteria, reducing inflammation, and accelerating tissue healing.

Tooth splinting / if necessary

If the teeth are mobile, then splinting is carried out — a special construction connects the teeth with each other, thanks to which they become more stable and better withstand load.

Supportive therapy

After the main treatment, regular examinations, professional hygiene, and correct home care with the use of individually selected hygiene products are very important: Curaprox, TePe, Bluem and others. This allows preserving the treatment result for many years.
