How we restored the patient's chewing teeth

The old bridges had worn down, there were almost no teeth left, but I still needed to chew.

The patient came to the clinic with complaints of missing teeth in the side areas, worn teeth, and old metal prostheses that had been placed many years ago and had already worn out. It was necessary to restore the teeth, chewing function, bite, and create new long-lasting prostheses.

Client request: I want to restore my teeth so I can chew normally and get reliable teeth that will last a long time.

Problem: Teeth were partially missing in both the upper and lower jaws, and the remaining teeth were severely worn. In the side areas, there were old metal bridges, with damaged teeth underneath them.

Solution: We performed implant placement, restored the correct bite, and fabricated zirconia crowns on both natural teeth and implants. As a result, the patient received new strong teeth and the ability to enjoy his favorite food again.

Comprehensive diagnostics

We performed full diagnostics: examination, photo protocol, digital scans, computed tomography, bite analysis, and implant planning. This allowed us to assess the condition of the teeth, bone volume, and create a proper treatment plan.

Removal of old bridges and decision on implantation

The old metal bridges were removed. The teeth under the bridges were severely damaged and could not be restored, so they had to be extracted. A decision was made to place implants in the areas of missing teeth.

Digital treatment modeling

Digital planning of implant placement and future crowns was performed. We determined the position of the implants, bite height, and shape of the future teeth. Based on the planning, a surgical guide was fabricated for precise implant placement.

Immediate extraction, implantation, and placement of temporary crowns

Damaged teeth were extracted, implants were placed, and temporary bridge prostheses were fabricated on the remaining teeth so the patient could chew normally during treatment.

Determining and fixing the correct jaw position

We determined the correct position of the lower jaw and restored the proper bite height. Second-stage temporary crowns were fabricated, allowing the patient to adapt to the new bite.

Placement of zirconia crowns on teeth and implants

After the implants had fully integrated, the temporary crowns were replaced with zirconia crowns on both natural teeth and implants. The restorations were bonded under a microscope with control of the bite, chewing muscle balance, and chewing comfort.
